First in a Cozy Series and Giveaway by Betty Hechtman

Happy Thursday! Today's First in a Cozy Series is Yarn to Go by Betty Hechtman! If you love fibers and yarns with a side of murder then this is a must read for you. Are you a knitter? What is your favorite thing to knit? Leave a comment and email for a chance to win a copy of this book.

Isn't that a great cover? I am a huge fan of this series and knitting.

Book Description

 July 2, 2013
Dessert chef Casey Feldstein doesn’t know a knitting needle from a crochet hook. But after her aunt dies unexpectedly, leaving Casey to run her yarn retreat business, the sweets baker finds herself rising to the occasion—and trying to unravel a murder mystery…

When Casey finds out that her late aunt’s business, Yarn2Go, has one more yarn retreat scheduled, she decides to go ahead and host the event, despite her complete lack of experience as a knitter. At least the retreat is on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula.

But the idyllic setting is soured when a retreat regular is found murdered in her hotel room. Feeling a sense of responsibility, Casey begins to weave the clues together and detects a pattern which may shed light on her aunt’s suspicious death. Despite the danger, the last thing Casey plans to do is retreat. She’ll catch this killer…or dye trying.

Includes a knitting pattern and a recipe!

  16. LOL I love to feel yarns and delight in the pretty colors. My favorite thing to knit is hats. Scarves are fun too but I have too many and have given away so many. Hats really make me feel like I have accomplished something.

  21. I'm not a knitter but I do crochet some. I should try knitting again. Last year I crocheted an afghan that was 63 blocks, using 63 different stitches for the blocks. It was a lot of fun! And it was easy to work on as a passenger in a car, as we travel a lot to visit the kids.

  22. I used to knit with my grandmother, but haven't in a number of years. With the popularity of scarves, I'd kind of like to get back into it!
    Thanks!

  23. I'm not a knitter---but my Mom was and I still have many of the items she made for me. She tried and tried to teach me to knit, but it was just hopeless----I think I could actually hurt myself with those needles, I'm so uncoordinated. Thanks for the contest.
