my review of Bowled over :

Jaymie Leighton, vintage kitchenware and cookbook collector lives in Queensville Michgan. She is writing a cookbook using her grandmother's recipes. While shopping at the Queensville Emporium she has a run in with her ex-friend Kathy Cooper when Ella Douglas accidently runs over Kathy's grandson Connor with her wheelchair. Ella swears it was a mistake but Kathy isn't buying it and makes a scene right in the shopping center.

Kathy has been mad at Jaymie since high school but Jaymie never really knew why. Queensville being so small a town it has been hard for them to avoid each other. And with the July 4th picnic coming up they are bound to see each other there.

The day of the picnic everything turned out so nicely until Kathy is found dead behind the washroom and since the murder weapon found there was Jaymie's salad bowl, she becomes there number one suspect.

Jaymie does her own investigating to clear her name when Johnny Stanko is arrested. Valetta is Jaymie's best friend and believes in her heart that Johnny is innocent. While snooping around the Jaymie has a few run ins with the police in town.

Jaymie goes to check on Ella because sshe hasn't been feeling well and wanted to make sure she was alright. When Ella doesnt answer the door Jaymie sees her lying on the floor. Unsure if she fell or the killer stuck again Jaymie gets into Ella's house and comes face to face with the killer...


This book was such a fantastic read!!!
