Happy Monday to you all! It is a great pleasure to have the Lovely Linda O.Johnston with us today! If you love dogs this post is for you!
I'm Linda O. Johnston, and I'm delighted to be guest blogging on Shelley's Book Case!
For those of you who don't know me, I'm a bit nuts. I admit it.
Why? Well, first of all, I'm an author. I've had 37 books published so far, with more to come. I'm also a lawyer by background, although currently I'm not practicing law. That makes me a full time writer.
And that's a good thing, considering all I've got to write!
So why, besides that, am I nuts? Well, my mind keeps leaping back and forth among the genres in which I write.
I have a new release this month: LOYAL WOLF, one of my Alpha Force miniseries for Harlequin Nocturne. It's number six in the series, and its most recent predecessor, UNTAMED WOLF, was a May release. In case you're wondering, Alpha Force is a covert military unit of shapeshifters. So, yes, I write paranormal romance.
I also write romantic suspense for the Harlequin Romantic Suspense line. My most recent was COVERT ATTRACTION, a December 2013 release, and there are more to come.
Then there are my cozy mysteries. TEACUP TURBULENCE, the fifth in my Pet Rescue Mystery series for Berkley Prime Crime was a January release, and CHIHUAHUA CHAOS, available on Kindle, is a novella, my first self-published story.
And, wait for it! Upcoming, in October of this year, is LOST UNDER A LADDER, my first Superstition Mystery for Midnight Ink!
Is there any kind of theme here? Yes, mostly. My Alpha Force miniseries involves primarily shapeshifting wolves--canines. My Pet Rescue Mysteries involve--what else?--pets, again primarily canines. And in my Superstition Mysteries, my protagonist moves with her dog to the unique town of Destiny, California, to determine if superstitions could actually be real, and she winds up becoming the manager of the Lucky Dog Boutique.
So in case you haven't figured it out, I love dogs. I also love writing about them.
And, hey. I've become quite a superstition aficionado, too. How about you? Do you cross your fingers? Knock on wood? Avoid walking under ladders?
In case you're wondering, it'll be good luck to read the Superstition Mysteries!
And by the way, I'm also writing another mystery series for Midnight Ink. Watch for it...
Come visit me at www.LindaOJohnston.com. And friend me on Facebook!
I'm so glad that you are with us today Linda! Love this post!! Thank you so much for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I didn't realize what a prolific author you are. I'm looking forward to reading you new Midnight Ink series and will definitely check out the Harlequin books.
ReplyDeleteI say I'm not superstitious, but I do knock on wood (or the closest thing) and I won't say certain things out loud because I don't want them to happen. But that just being safe rather than sorry right? I mean, right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your canine theme! Teacup Turbulence is the book that I'm drawn to and want to start with. I have to wonder how you get the time to be such a prolific writer.
ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting me, Shelley!
ReplyDeleteNoraA, I'd love to hear what you think of any of my books that you read!
ReplyDeleteLisa K, it always helps to be safe rather than sorry. You might enjoy my new protag Rory's attitude in the Superstition Mysteries...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Teacup Turbulence, Nancy. And how I get the time to write what I do? I just do! I'd better get back to it now...
