Shelley's Review

This week's reviews are a recap of two I read for Blog Tours. Killer Wedding Cake by Gayle Trent and Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Joyce and Jim Lavene

Killer Wedding Cake

This was a fun read. Daphne is in the process of planning her wedding as well as making her cake for it. Her life is busy and about to get busier when a murder takes place and puts a twist in her plans. This fast- paced mystery will have you on the edge of your seat guessing until the end. I enjoyed this read and am looking forward to the next one.

If you love Fall and everything about Fall, like I do then you will want to get this book and jump right in. A Perfect read for a Fall day, cool crisp air, the leaves starting to change and a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee or a pumpkin latte, will make this a great book to kick off the fall season.

I love pumpkins and everything Fall, So when I heard that Joyce and Jim Lavene had a brand new series come out and Pumpkins were involved I knew I had to read it. It is Amazing! You will meet Sarah Tucker and Jack Collins as you take a trip to Misty River Virginia. Someone doesn't want Sarah to stay on the land of her missing grandparents and will do everything they can to make it happen. So when potential buyers end up dead, Sarah and Jack have to find out who the killer is,and get this property sold so she can get back to her Attorney job and move on. Find out if she will stay or leave the farm.

Each character brings something unique and has a charm about them that really bring this story to life. The story line is so well written you will be so involved in it , like I was, and finished it in one day. I could not put it down.

It's fast- paced and plot twisting that will keep you reading and an ending so good you will be eagerly waiting for the next one. This book is a great read to get you ready for Fall and all things pumpkin!

Don't miss a single minute of these two great books.
