Death by Darjeeling by Laura Childs

With the weather growing colder and the snow about to fall,I have recently started drinking Tea(no I have not given up my coffee). My two favorite teas are Victorian Earl Grey and Lady Grey, great for an evening of relaxing and reading.

I have always been a fan of Laura Childs and if you don't know it, she has a series about tea her first book is called Death by Darjeeling (A Tea Shop Mystery series). The cover to her books in the series are stunning and beautiful. They make me want to have a tea party.( well maybe in the spring or indoors) .

Death by Darjeeling (Tea Shop Series #1)There are 15 books in this series and I am looking forward to reading each one and learning more about the world of Tea.

overview of the book:

Overview

When a man is poisoned by tea, Theo is the prime suspect. Now she has to prove her innocence and track down the real killer-before someone else takes their last sip. Just the right blend of cozy fun and clever plotting.

Have you all read this series? What do you think of it? Are you a tea drinker? What is your favorite tea? Leave a comment with your email!!!

  1. I have read every book in this series, and each one of them seems to get better and better even though they were 5 star each time I read one. I love tea, and serve tea a lot, especially at our neighborhood book club monthly meetings. Personally, I love black tea the best, Orange Pekoe is one that I find the most satisfying to me, but Green Tea is what many of my friends like to have. To me, Green Tea, is not "real" tea but this offers a hot beverage to those who don't care for the more potent variety.

My daughter and son in law have been to China many times and they have brought back loose tea to me each time. I am not sure what variety it is as it is written in Chinese but it is a black tea which is very much enjoyed when I make a nice pot and use my tea strainer that is inside my coated cast iron tea pot. It is such a nice ritual when you attend a high tea too. Our daughter and granddaughter loved the tea ceremonies that they experienced with local families when they were in China and they left a lasting impression on them.

    Enjoy your tea today!
