Synopsis
In the California coastal town of South Cove, history is one of its many tourist attractions—until it becomes deadly…
Jill Gardner, proprietor of Coffee, Books, and More, has discovered that the old stone wall on her property might be a centuries-old mission worthy of being declared a landmark. But Craig Thomas, the obnoxious owner of South Cove’s most popular tourist spot, The Castle, makes it his business to contest her claim. When Thomas is found murdered at The Castle shortly after a heated argument with Jill, even her detective boyfriend has to ask her for an alibi. Jill decides she must find the real murderer to clear her name. But when the killer comes for her, she’ll need to jump from historic preservation to self-preservation …

my review:
Jill Gardner is back in this second installment of this terrific series! This quirky whodunit will keep you wanting more as you continue to read and try to prove that Jill isn't the murderer. I love how you are instantly part of the story. i really enjoyed this book and am eagerly awaiting what will come next!

My Interview with Lynn:

S.G. Tell us about yourself?

L.C. Hi, I’m Lynn. I’m a reality show junkie… Oh, wait, wrong group. But yes, I am Lynn and I do like my competition reality shows. So if I’m watching television, you’ll either find me in front of Project Runway or Top Chef, or watching Sleepless in Seattle again. Or Harry Potter. I’ve been writing for three years now, and love storytelling.
S.G. How did you come up with this story? What inspired it?
L.C. The Tourist Trap series started with GUIDEBOOK TO MURDER. And GUIDEBOOK started with a picture of an old rundown house in a small tourist town on the California coast. MISSION TO MURDER is book 2 of the series and we return to the old house that Jill Gardner, my heroine, is remodeling, with the reluctant help of her boyfriend, Greg King. Or she would be remodeling if she wasn’t being set up for the murder of Craig Morgan. Craig’s the manager of the  local star attractions for tourist visits and he expects to be treated as the rock star he thinks he is in his own mind.
S.G. Can you tell us a little about what you are working on now?
L.C. That’s easy – I’ve started book four of the series where Jill and the gang are putting on a charity mystery theater show. Or they would be if they hadn’t found a body in the middle of their stage. And it’s real, not a prop.
S.G. What inspired you to become a writer?
L.C. I always wanted to be a writer, not a journalist, but a novel writer. In high school, I was steered to something more practical for my college degree. So I am the proud owner of a BS in Public Administration, emphasis political science. When I found myself fighting breast cancer a few years ago, I really focused on my ultimate dream and it was to write. I haven’t looked back.
S.G. What hobbies do you have that are not writing related?
L.C. My husband and I love trail riding on ATV’s. It’s our version of a date night. I also love trying out new recipes.
S.G What two things do you want your readers to know?
L.C As I’m drinking water out of my Wonder Woman cup, I and Jill would love readers to know that it’s never too late to re-invent your life. And you don’t need a health crisis to happen to start your transformation.

  5. Great interview! Definitely going to read this series. Lynn's philosophy of it's never too late to reinvent yourself was exactly what I needed to hear tonight. It might sound silly but I actually have tears in my eyes. It has been a rough year. My cozies are what keep me going. Thank you Lynn & Shelley!
